From as far back as I can remember being around, I have always loved to make art. When I first started, I mainly sketched in pencil, as that to me was easiest medium to begin with. My earliest works were portraits I did of family members. But in the fall of 2009, I would make a drawing that little did I know was both a turning point and the beginning of a long career that awaited ahead of me.
There were these two chairs that we had in our house at the time, a little black chair that belonged to my dad since childhood, and a rocking chair that had belonged to my grandma-great French. With curiosity, I decided to position the two chairs side by side in our family room. Then I stood behind the television set and sketched out what I saw in front of me on a piece of lined paper. After I was finished, I went and showed the drawing to my dad who seemed to be taken back with what I did. He then went into his bedroom and came back out holding a light blue picture frame which he told me I could use to put the sketch in.
The picture frame lasted for a few good years until the glass in it had cracked. The sketch now hangs in a dark green colored frame in my room and is one of the few remaining early sketches that I still have in existence.

This is great! I remember when you first showed us this drawing.
